Precision diode is also known as a precision rectifier or superdiode. A half-wave precision rectifier is implemented using an op-amp and includes the diode in the feedback loop. The precision rectifier is a configuration obtained with an operational amplifier in order to have a circuit behave like an ideal diode and rectifier. It is very useful for high-precision signal processing. With the help of a precision rectifier, high-precision signal processing can be done very easily.

Applications:

-Precision rectifiers are mostly used in audio circuits.

-Rectifier circuits are used in the design of power supply circuits.

-In order to have a circuit behave like an ideal diode and rectifier. It is very useful for high-precision signal processing
